Candles burn bright, but just for a while. All things do come to an end, some when you want them to, others at the behest of nature, and then there are those that fail to adequately fall into either of these camps.
California’s Dash Jacket recount the latter in this infectious, jingle jangle, lo-fi indie stormer, that although recorded last year as only just been released. A request for a second chance falls on deaf ears, and the acceptance of a new, unrequested relationship takes hold, albeit with a touch of disgruntlement. But just to be close to that candle.

Stuff You Should Know is AWESOME. The hosts, Josh and Chuck, are hilarious together and they have hundreds of podcasts on a bunch of crazy subjects. My favorites include:
1. Muppets
2. Samurai
3. Serial Killers
4. SPAM
Also, Maegan Taylor suggested “Miette’s Bedtime Podcast,” which is this cute-sounding British lady who reads short stories. Pretty cool.

Today at work, I had to walk around campus a bit, and I picked a prickly pear off of a cactus. I got a bunch of annoying spines in my hand, and it didn’t taste very good- but it had a beautiful colored juice, so I stamped it in my sketchbook and made this.
